Introducing the 727, a meticulously designed foil board that combines the core elements of Ronix’s esteemed Flyweight Pro series, encased in a robust Surface Skin for unrivaled durability and performance.
Deflection:
In contrast to traditional wakesurfing, where waterline contact is essential for control, the 727’s purpose shifts when it comes to wakefoiling. Instead of relying on board characteristics for angle and speed, the focus shifts to the foil. The 727 features a pronounced directional rockerline, facilitating effortless take-offs and quick landings. Moreover, its strategically exaggerated bevels ensure efficient water displacement, reducing resistance during flight.
Buoyancy:
After thorough experimentation, Ronix discovered that medium-rise prototypes, offering proper buoyancy when standing on the board underwater, delivered the best results. The optimal balance was achieved through the creation of Neutral Buoyancy 2.0, providing just the right amount of buoyancy to enable smooth take-offs and the desired board feel during preparation.
Tempo:
Achieving the ideal tempo was crucial in the 727’s design. A lighter board initiates turns more swiftly and easily; however, excessive lightness can lead to untimely turns, causing a “cross-up” effect with the rider’s body movements. Striking the perfect balance, Ronix crafted numerous prototypes to find the harmonious interplay between buoyancy and swing weight, ensuring a seamless rhythm between rider and board.
Footwear:
For convenience and stability, the 727 comes with included straps, a boon for novice foilers. They provide additional support during the initial learning phase, making it easier to adapt to the foiling body position and facilitating smoother starts with the board placed beneath the rider’s feet in the water.

As you grow your skills, bump it up to 17 inches, and then 20 inches. This feature makes the Ronix Shift Mast a versatile option for beginner to advanced foilers all in one.
